OUR LOCATION
GETTING TO US:

Can I arrive via car? Yes, you can enter the address for Hasan Zawaideh Camp, drive directly to there. Once here, we will pick you up and transfer you to our Luxury Camp.

Do I need a certain type of car to arrive? No. You can reach camp with any type of vehicle, it is not necessary to hire a Jeep or 4x4.

Am I able to get a taxi to camp? Yes. You can get a taxi to us from most locations. Please contact us, and we will be able to provide you with a number for a trusted taxi driver.

My taxi has said they can drop me off at Wadi-Rum Visitor Centre? Not to worry, please message us on +962 7 9631 8530, and we can pick-up / drop-off to the visitor centre free of charge.

Is it possible to get public transport to camp? We would not recommend getting public transport due to our remote location. Our recommendation would be to hire a car, or use a taxi service.

Where is the closest airport? The closest airport to our camp is King Hussein International Airport, Aqaba (around 1 hour drive), the second closest airport is Queen Alia International Airport, Amman (around 3 1/2 hours drive). If driving from an airport, click here.

AROUND THE CAMP:

Can I walk outside the camp by myself? Yes. You are free to explore the desert around the camp alone, however we would not advise this during the night. At night it can be very dark, and easy to get lost.

Are there shops nearby? There is small village not too far from camp where you will be able to get toiletries and find a pharmacy.

Do I need to bring bug repellant? Although we do try our best to keep the bugs and mosquitoes away from camp, it has to be noted that we are located in the desert. If you are prone to bites from bugs, it may be beneficial to bring anti-histamines or repellant with you.
ARRIVING FROM AQABA AIRPRT (AQJ):
King Hussein Airport in Aqaba is the closest airport to our main camp, at around an hour from us. The drive is quite direct and easy to complete.
You will first drive towards the Aqaba Highway, where instantly you will yourself immersed in the desert surroundings.
At the Wadi Al-Yutm Interchange, head north on the Desert Highway and continue to the Rashidiyah triangle.
Our main camp is located just next to the JHRC train start point.

ARRIVING FROM AMMAN AIRPORT (AMM):
Queen Alia Airport in Amman is around 3 and a half hours from our main camp, however the views along the way will help to make it feel like less.
Once off of Airport Road, you will stay on the Desert Highway for the majority of the journey. A road that continues through the desert.
You will pass through the area where you are able to see Wadi Musa in the distance from your car.
Once you reach the Rashidiyah triangle, continue along Wadi Rum Road.
You will find our main camp located near to the JHRC train start point.
